Ghost Orchid

A DISTANT HOP FOR ONCE

The Nelson Sauvin is the whole story here. It's a hop that behaves like a grape — sauvignon blanc-like character, fruity and wine-forward in a way that has no business being in a beer but works completely. The mandarin and white grape carry through from nose to finish without turning sweet. Bitterness stays low and the finish is clean.

Bellwoods could have spread the Nelson across the whole range and played it safe. Instead they concentrated it into one beer and named it after something rare and hard to find. The analogy earns itself every time you open a can.
